| Lot 300 | A Double Rainbow at Skiddaw, Keswick. Watercolour, signed W.J.Caparn 1895 17 x 26in (43 x 66cm). Exhibited at Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery, 1990. Illustrated on page 16 of Artists In Guernsey - Caparne Edition. Well known local art expert, the late Brian Bell considered this to be one of Caparne's finest works. A copy of his description of this painting to be sold with this lot. A rare example of his work signed without the E, which he added to his signature when he settled in Guernsey. | Lot 302 | Datura curtain in the artist's garden, Bon Port, Guernsey. Watercolour, preparatory sketch verso 10.5 x 15in (27 x 38cm). Exhibited at Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery, 1990; illustrated on page 19 Artists in Guernsey - Caparne edition. In the Gardens at his bungalow on the cliffs above Bon Port, there was an archway from which the Datura grew, overlooking the bay below. Estimate - 800-1000 |

| Lot 306 | Tulip Packing Shed at Messrs Wheadon, La Couture, Guernsey. Watercolour, inscribed and signed verso 11.5 x 17.5in (29 x 44.5cm) Flower packing sheds were amongst Caparne's personal favourite subjects. A similar painting was exhibited in 1990 at Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery, and Illustrated on page 43, Artists in Guernsey - Caparne. Estimate - 2500-3000 |

| Lot 307 | A furze fire on the south coast cliffs, Guernsey. Watercolour, signed 25.5 x 37.5in (65 x 95cm). Exhibited at Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery in 1990. This particular painting was mentioned in the introduction to the preview catalogue on page 12. It is also illustrated on page 20, plate 8, as Furze Fire 1. A painting in similar style and size now in the collection of Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery, and possibly the pair to the above, is illustrated on page 30, plate 22, and is also mentioned in the catalogue, as Bon Port Ravine.
