A Double Rainbow at Skiddaw, Keswick Watercolour, signed W.J.Caparn 1895 17 x 26in (43 x 66cm). Exhibited at Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery, 1990. Illustrated on page 16 of Artists In Guernsey - Caparne Edition. Well known local art expert, the late Brian Bell considered this to be one of Caparne's finest works. A copy of his description of this painting to be sold with this lot. A rare example of his work signed without the E, which he added to his signature when he settled in Guernsey.
